The "Solar" option of this light is a dual-use light that operates both on hardwired and solar power (two-in-one), meaning it can be powered either by hardwired or solar energy. The solar functionality comes with its light source, so you can disregard the hard wiring and the hardwired bulb. If you need to use the hard-wired feature in the future, simply install a bulb and connect the wires, and it will function as a hardwired light.
